🇮🇳Indian Document Apostille

Whatever the destination, if a document was issued in India — a degree, a birth certificate, a company invoice — it needs the same government chain before it's accepted abroad. We run that chain for Indian-issued documents end to end, from your doorstep to the MEA counter and back.

Why It's Needed

Every Indian Document Needs Its Own Passport, Legally Speaking

A degree from an Indian university or a birth certificate from a municipal registrar carries no automatic standing overseas. The apostille sticker, issued only by the MEA, is the mechanism that gives an Indian-issued document legal recognition abroad for Indian-issued documents. It matters most when you're:

  • Enrolling in a foreign university or submitting credentials for work licensing
  • Applying for a dependent, spouse or residency visa on the strength of Indian civil records
  • Registering an Indian company's paperwork with an overseas regulator or bank
  • Getting married abroad and needing a single-status or affidavit accepted by a foreign registrar

FAQ

Indian Document Apostille — Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Verification routes through the state that issued the document for the SDM/HRD stage, not your current city. We identify the correct issuing-state authority and route the paperwork so relocation doesn't hold things up.

Yes. The MEA apostille sticker is recognised by all 120+ Hague Convention member nations at once, so the same stamped original works whether you use it in Germany, Australia or the Netherlands.

The sticker is affixed to the original, so we require it at the Notary and MEA stages. Photocopies are collected as supporting paperwork, but the item returned to you is your original with the apostille attached.

We flag mismatches during our initial review, before submission, so they don't cause a rejection midway through the MEA chain. Where a correction from the issuing board or registrar is genuinely required, we advise you on that step first.

The Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, and its regional branch secretariats, is the sole authority empowered to affix the apostille sticker. We manage courier logistics to and from these MEA counters as part of our service.

It depends on your destination. Hague members need only the MEA apostille sticker; non-Hague countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar need the full Notary → State/HRD → MEA → Embassy chain. Tell us your destination and document type and we'll confirm the route.
